LEO
KEEPING THE MUSIC ALIVE
A Documentary by Adam Reim
A Portrait of A Philadelphia Jazz Legend
THE STORY
If you're into jazz in Philly, you've heard his name. Known city-wide as the owner/operator of the concert promotion group the "Producers Guild of Philadelphia", but by his countless friends as simply "Leo" – Mr. Gadson is a Philadelphia Treasure.
Producing jazz concerts in Philadelphia since 1975, Leo has brought some of America's greatest performers to the streets of Philadelphia, all by himself. Stars like Dexter Gordon, Jackie McLean, and Joe Henderson (to name a few) all knew Leo by his first name.
Having presented jazz for 50 years and counting, Leo, now age 78, reflects upon his past, present, and future in this raw portrait documentary.
